Get around the large sewer Slime
Wait for the large sewer Slime to move aside, then pass around it without touching its body. Save your ammunition and Explosives, and do not assume that attacking its visible inner core will release a drop.
Treat this encounter as a moving hazard to navigate. The Slime wanders within its sewer passage without actively chasing you, but contact with it causes damage.
Pass the Slime through the side tunnel
- Wait clear of the Slime's body until it moves aside, giving you an opening to pass without taking contact damage.

Swim through the little side tunnel with stamina available to get around the Slime; running out of stamina during the crossing can leave you in trouble.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Continue exploring once you are clear of the creature, keeping your ammunition and Explosives instead of returning to attack it.
Stop spending supplies on ineffective attacks
If you have tried swords, bows, the Pickaxe, Axe, Hammer or Explosives and your hits are doing nothing, switch to the bypass. Cycling through more equipment is a poor use of supplies here; concentrate on the Slime's movement and the space around it.
Leave the visible inner core alone
Do not plan a farming trip around killing this Slime or extracting the object visible inside it. Pass the creature and keep exploring rather than spending supplies in the expectation of a crafting material or kill reward.
Handle a difficult crossing or recover lost items
If the corridor feels cramped, inspect the surrounding objects for another way around. The Giant Slime corridor's water level was raised, and nearby objects were moved to create additional routes past the creature.
If you die during the crossing, your Backpack stays with you, while items that are not kept go into a death pack. Look on the water's surface for a death pack in water. If a pack fell below the world, check camp or spawn.
