Where to find and return every treasure
Deep Dish Dungeon's 22 treasures are spread across the hub, sewers, spider prison, crypt, dining hall, goblin caves, astronomy room and final chamber. Return the gold treasures to the dining-hall gold chest, the gems to the Sanctuary statues, and the remaining treasures to their individual destinations below; the Seed is the normal-ending objective.
Pack for the hidden routes
Pack Grappling Hooks, a torch, the Hammer, Pickaxe, Axe and explosives according to your destination. Bring nails and rope for the crypt, the Sun Stone Coin and Moon Stone Coin for the Water Statues, and a Vision Elixir for the ghost. Craft Grappling Hooks in your inventory and Hooks at the Workbench.
Every treasure, pickup route and return destination
| Treasure | Pickup route | Return destination |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Coins | Hub roof chest: climb the rope by the campfire pillar, or use the large plank. | The dining-hall gold chest. |
| Gold Nugget | Deep sewers: look above the red-bat cave's canal near the giant eel for an opening containing a chest. | The dining-hall gold chest. |
| Gold Bracelet | Prison approach corridor: place a torch in the empty holder to open the secret wall and reveal the chest. | The dining-hall gold chest. |
| Gold Amulet | Just beyond the first door: use a Grappling Hook to reach the chest near the ceiling. | The dining-hall gold chest. |
| Gold Statue | Main hub: go upstairs, climb the leaning plank and follow the wall to a vase. Break it. | The dining-hall gold chest. |
| Gold Talisman | Fountain and corn area: put the Sun Stone Coin and Moon Stone Coin in the Water Statue. Open the chest revealed by draining the water. | The dining-hall gold chest. |
| Bird Statue | Exploding-fungi area: search the nest in the side room with a pillar structure. | The same nest where you found it. |
| Ceremonial Codex | Exploding-fungi area: break the unusually large flower to retrieve the Codex inside. | The lectern in the astronomy room. |
| Diamond Ring | Sewers, before the red-bat room: take the boat to the middle door, follow the bridge, and grapple above the skeleton archer toward the pipes and chest. | The river skeleton's finger, on the boat route toward the goblin caves. |
| Medicine Bottle | Beside the Silver Dagger altar: climb through the adjoining room's ceiling hole to reach the chest. | The corn-room ghost on the upper floor. Drink a Vision Elixir to see it. |
| Ragdoll | Spider prison: after the first lever-operated wooden door, grapple into the wall opening on the right as you descend the stairs. | The child's skeleton in a crypt sarcophagus, past the Ruby Necklace camp and up the rope. |
| Ruby Necklace | Crypt: take the path left of the skeleton picture, slide the door left and open the camp chest. | The statue in the room below the game's starting room. |
| Queen Crown | Dining hall: open the Queen's Door with Cooked Veggies, Bean Soup and Stew. Take the crown from the Queen while she is down. | Back on the Queen's skeleton. |
| Bean Gem | Crypt bottom: follow the right-hand path through the moving doors to the gem at the statue's feet. | A statue beside the Sanctuary Door. |
| Corn Gem | From the hub: upstairs, left, then left across the plank. Go up the spiral stairs, grapple to the high left-hand door and cut the roots guarding the chest. | A statue beside the Sanctuary Door. |
| Guarana Gem | Sewers: defeat the Giant Moray Eel and collect the gem it drops. | A statue beside the Sanctuary Door. |
| Tomato Gem | Spider prison: defeat the Giant Spider boss at the top. | A statue beside the Sanctuary Door. |
| Silver Dagger | Jaguar Door: cast its Key Pieces using their molds at the smelter, open the door and collect the dagger from its altar. | Its original altar behind the Jaguar Door. |
| Cuica | Blue-mushroom cave: blast the rock pile with explosives and open the hidden chest. | Its altar in the goblin caves. |
| Lantern | Astronomy room above the exploding-fungi area: solve the circle-door puzzle to reach it. | Return it to its original altar. |
| Crystal Egg | Crypt bottom, beyond the Bean Gem: place and rotate the stone statues to follow the floor pattern and open the door. | Return it to its original altar. |
| Seed | Final chamber: offer a cooked Deep Dish Pizza, push the altar and defeat the golden skeletons whenever it locks. | Normal-ending objective; it has no separate treasure-return pedestal. |
Complete the returns and reach the true ending
- Open the gold chest route. Collect the Sun Stone Coin and Moon Stone Coin from the rooms beside the dining hall. Climb into the second room on the right and place both in the statue's hands. Follow the passage and put all six gold treasures in the empty gold chest.
- Place the Bean Gem, Corn Gem, Guarana Gem and Tomato Gem on the statues beside the Sanctuary Door. Any arrangement works. These statues are also their return destinations.
- Complete the individual returns in the table. Drink a Vision Elixir before giving the Medicine Bottle to the corn-room ghost, and look for the river skeleton's finger along the boat route toward the goblin caves.
- Finish exploring dark rooms with the Lantern before returning the relics. Put the Cuica on its goblin-cave altar, and return the Silver Dagger, Lantern and Crystal Egg to their own altars.
- Once the returns are complete, revisit the giant eel arena. Enter the hidden room to the right of the eel's body, press the button left of the terminal, type Shutdown and go through the door that opens.
Find and recover missing treasures with the Catalogue
- Open the Catalogue and compare its unique collectibles with the table to identify the treasure you still need.
- Check the treasure's return destination before recovering it. If you already placed it correctly, leave it there and continue with the remaining returns.
- For a lost treasure, have the world host use its Catalogue entry to retrieve it. Host recovery works wherever the treasure ended up, including another player's inventory.
Patch 1.0.50.0 added host treasure recovery and made backpacks stay with the player after death. Patch 1.0.51.0 returns backpacks and death packs that fall below the world to camp or spawn. Death packs in water float on the surface, while a death in mid-air leaves the pack on the last solid ground.
